At Anchor Animal Hospital, we are proud to provide comprehensive medical services for small mammals by limited appointment. Our patients include rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, rats, hedgehogs, and other pocket pets. While exotic pets are becoming more popular companions, many veterinary hospitals are not equipped or trained to properly care for them. That's why our practice owner, Dr. Kate Pietsch, has dedicated her career to advancing her knowledge and skills in caring for these often delicate animals.

To make it easier for you, Anchor Animal Hospital also carries veterinarian recommended brands Oxbow and Sherwood including high-quality hay, vitamin C tablets, joint and urinary supplements. We also carry Oxbow Critical Care and Sherwood Emergency Recovery Kits which are formulated to support patients who are refusing to eat or recovering from surgery. These are considered the gold standard in assisted feeding, providing balanced nutrition, fiber for gut motility, and essential vitamins and minerals to support recovery. It can be life-saving for pets experiencing gastrointestinal stasi, dental issues, or other conditions that suppress appetite.

Reptiles and Birds: At this time, we do not provide veterinary care for reptiles (such as snakes, turtles and lizards) or avian species (including parrots, parakeets, and other pet birds)
