John Lopes: He has worked at Anchor Animal Hospital for over twenty years. He supervises our surgical department and manages hospital inventory as well as providing general technical support to the doctors and training for new staff members. John is a Certified Veterinary Technician. His hobbies include classic cars and fishing.

Jackie Belo: Jackie loves all animals but her favorites are Rottweilers, pit bulls, and Chihuahuas. She has an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary technology from Becker College and is a Certified Veterinary Technician.  She has worked at Anchor Animal Hospital for over 15 years and supervises our front desk staff. She provides training and guidance to our new staff members. She says “I enjoy all aspects of my job and can’t think about doing any other job”.

Vickie Cabral: Vickie is our patient care supervisor. She likes to work with pets in the exam rooms and likes to see all the cute animals that come to our hospital. She likes working as a tech at Anchor because she likes the challenges and finds it rewarding to know at the end of the day you’ve saved an animal’s life. She has worked at Anchor for over 9 years.

Cassie Couto: Growing up Cassie always loved animals. She attended Bristol County Agricultural High School where she studied Animal Science. She then spent some time at Mount Ida studying veterinary technology. She has always wanted to work in a field with animals and loves helping to save animals, help their owners, and getting to meet new people. She says “It’s great to make a difference and work with people who love animals as much as I do.” Cassie loves all animals but her favorite breed is a German Shepard.

Andrea Santos: Andrea always wanted to work with animals so when an opportunity was available at Anchor she jumped at it. She can’t say that she has a favorite animal but at work she always enjoys the challenge of a feisty cat or dog. Her favorite part of the job is working with emergencies. Seeing improvement in emergency cases gives her a sense of accomplishment.

Laura Cusack: Laura has 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 fish. She loves helping to educate pet owners and helping pets be part of the family. She feels that working at Anchor Animal Hospital is rewarding and challenging at the same time. She says “I feel that every day is exciting….I truly love what I do”.

Sarah Mercier: Sarah has a Bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in both chemistry and music. She loves all kinds of animals but especially small and furry ones (such as bunnies and chinchillas). Outside of work Sarah enjoys activities such as hiking, canoeing, and fishing.

Jocelyn Turner: Jocelyn’s favorite animals are sweet, soft, fluffy cats. She loves coming to Anchor everyday to help heal animals in need. She has a big German Sheppard who is a very sweet boy.

Nicole L'Heureux: Nicole loves the sight of a happy animal. She attended New Bedford High and for a short time Framingham State College for bio medical and bio technology. She has 2 cats that love to get into trouble.

Shayna Lopes: Growing up Shayna was always around animals. So when she got out of school she knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field. She doesn't think of her job as "work" but an opportunity to educate clients and lend a helping hand. Shayna loves her pit bull Titan and her horse Sam. She also enjoys the outdoors, muscle cars, quad riding and especially enjoys cooking.

Christine Leite: Christine has always wanted to work in the veterinary field, which is why she chose to attend Bristol County Agricultural School graduating in 2002. From the early age of 12, volunteering to help her father at the pet store where he worked to working as a technician after graduating, she has enjoyed educating clients on animal health care and is always ready to lend a helping hand here at Anchor. She enjoys outdoors, motorcycles, cooking and spending time with her family.
