Lynn Norcross: Mrs. Norcross
has been hospital administrator and
part of Anchor Animal Hospital's
employee family for almost 16 years.
Her main interests are spending time
with her grandchildren and husband
of 42 years. She enjoys her home and
country line dancing.
Technical
Staff
John
Lopes: He has worked at Anchor
Animal Hospital for over twenty
years. He supervises our surgical
department and manages hospital
inventory as well as providing
general technical support to the
doctors and training for new staff
members. John is a Certified
Veterinary Technician. His hobbies
include classic cars and fishing.
Jackie Belo: Jackie loves all
animals but her favorites are
Rottweilers, pit bulls, and
Chihuahuas. She has an Associate’s
Degree in Veterinary technology from
Becker College and is a Certified
Veterinary Technician. She has
worked at Anchor Animal Hospital for
over 15 years and supervises our
front desk staff. She provides
training and guidance to our new
staff members. She says “I enjoy all
aspects of my job and can’t think
about doing any other job”.
Vickie Cabral: Vickie is our
patient care supervisor. She likes
to work with pets in the exam rooms
and likes to see all the cute
animals that come to our hospital.
She likes working as a tech at
Anchor because she likes the
challenges and finds it rewarding to
know at the end of the day you’ve
saved an animal’s life. She has
worked at Anchor for over 9 years.
Cassie Couto: Growing up
Cassie always loved animals. She
attended Bristol County Agricultural
High School where she studied Animal
Science. She then spent some time at
Mount Ida studying veterinary
technology. She has always wanted to
work in a field with animals and
loves helping to save animals, help
their owners, and getting to meet
new people. She says “It’s great to
make a difference and work with
people who love animals as much as I
do.” Cassie loves all animals but
her favorite breed is a German
Shepard.Andrea Santos:
Andrea always wanted to work with
animals so when an opportunity was
available at Anchor she jumped at
it. She can’t say that she has a
favorite animal but at work she
always enjoys the challenge of a
feisty cat or dog. Her favorite part
of the job is working with
emergencies. Seeing improvement in
emergency cases gives her a sense of
accomplishment.
Laura Cusack: Laura has 2
dogs, 3 cats, and 1 fish. She loves
helping to educate pet owners and
helping pets be part of the family.
She feels that working at Anchor
Animal Hospital is rewarding and
challenging at the same time. She
says “I feel that every day is
exciting….I truly love what I do”.
Sarah Mercier: Sarah has a
Bachelor’s degree in biology with
minors in both chemistry and music.
She loves all kinds of animals but
especially small and furry ones
(such as bunnies and chinchillas).
Outside of work Sarah enjoys
activities such as hiking, canoeing,
and fishing.
Jocelyn Turner: Jocelyn’s
favorite animals are sweet, soft,
fluffy cats. She loves coming to
Anchor everyday to help heal animals
in need. She has a big German
Sheppard who is a very sweet boy.
Nicole L'Heureux: Nicole
loves the sight of a happy animal.
She attended New Bedford High and
for a short time Framingham State
College for bio medical and bio
technology. She has 2 cats that love
to get into trouble.
Shayna Lopes: Growing up
Shayna was always around animals. So
when she got out of school she knew
she wanted to work in the veterinary
field. She doesn't think of her job
as "work" but an opportunity to
educate clients and lend a helping
hand. Shayna loves her pit bull
Titan and her horse Sam. She also
enjoys the outdoors, muscle cars,
quad riding and especially enjoys
cooking.
Christine Leite: Christine
has always wanted to work in the
veterinary field, which is why she
chose to attend Bristol County
Agricultural School graduating in
2002. From the early age of 12,
volunteering to help her father at
the pet store where he worked to
working as a technician after
graduating, she has enjoyed
educating clients on animal health
care and is always ready to lend a
helping hand here at Anchor. She
enjoys outdoors, motorcycles,
cooking and spending time with her
family. |
